Hello, depuis l'album " FREEDOM " (Easy Livin .... je n'ai plus rien acheté mais vais les voir pas loin de chez moi ( env. 50km à Rastatt - D) MAIS je vais plutot pour l'autre groupe de la soirée .........THIN LIZZY

Pour moi c'est exactement l'inverse j' irais volontiers revoir Uriah Heep alors que la formation de Thin Lizzy ne me branche pas vraiment.

et THIN LIZZY sans LYNOTT c'est quoi il reste juste Scott Gorham de la formation d'époque, et puis Bernie Shaw est là depuis presque vingt ans maintenant, Trevor Bolder est également un ancien et Kerslake n'a quitté le groupe que trés récemment pour revenir là dessus Uriah Heep a plus de legitimité à tourner sous son nom comparé à Lizzy.

Un Live At The Sweden Rock Festival 2009 vient de sortir.

Uriah Heep are to issue a new live album shortly.

To be called Official Bootleg Volume II – Live In Budapest, Hungary 2010. As yet, though, there’s no release date.

Say the band: ”This is an official bootleg recording from our concert in the Petofi Hall, Budapest Hungary, on May 4, 2010.

“There are going to be many more recordings from around the world, as this will be an ongoing series, giving fans the chance to hear the band in many different countries.

“These recordings are true official bootlegs in every sense and they reflect that nights performance as it happened, totally untouched. You can almost feel that you are at the concert, so put the CD on, turn it up loud, close your eyes and enjoy a night in Budapest with Uriah Heep.”

Nouvel album pour 2011.

Uriah Heep have just begun work on their 23rd studio album.

The veteran band are at Liscombe Park Studios in Buckinghamshire, recording the follow-up to 2008’s Waking The Sleeper. If all goes to plan, this will be released at some point in 2011.

Uriah Heep compte interpréter des titres qu'il n'aurait pas joués depuis très longtemps durant la prochaine tournée UK :

Uriah Heep are planning to do some songs not heard for ages when they tour the UK next month.

Talking to Classic Rock, guitarist Mick Box said: “ The present set includes all the classic Heep songs, plus a few not heard in a while, especially in the UK. On top of that, as it is the Into The Wild tour, we play four songs from that CD”.

Box also says the band are planning for a hectic 2012.

“We’ll continue this tour, in the 54 countries where we play. Hopefully, we’ll also fit in some songwriting into the schedule, and then start recording a new album by the end of the year. The Heep rock ‘n’ roll circus will carry on proving that we are one of the hardest working bands in the business.

John Jowitt (bassiste d'Arena, ex IQ et Jadis) intègre Uriah Heep en remplacement de Trevor Bolder, immobilisé à la suite d'une opération imprévue. Trevor devrait retrouver son poste lorsqu'il ira mieux.

Trevor Bolder a révélé à Classic Rock qu'il n'avait pas été hospitalisé en janvier dernier pour une crise cardiaque mais pour un cancer du pancréas. La partie cancéreuse a été retirée. Ceci dit, il a quand même affirmé qu'il était toujours dans l'idée de participer au gig de reformation des Spiders From Mars qui se tiendrait aux alentours de Noël 2013.

Trevor Bolder has told Classic Rock that the reason for his recent surgery wasn’t a heart attack, as online rumours suggested – it was cancer.

But the Uriah Heep bassist is looking forward to life without the killer disease, and he’s revealed plans for a Spiders From Mars reunion later this year.

Heep last month announced that Bolder would be temporarily replaced by JJ Jowitt of IQ, Arena and Frost* fame, adding: “We all wish Trevor a speedy return to the fold.”

That led to speculation he’d suffered a heart attack.

But Bolder tells Classic Rock: “No. It wasn’t – it was cancer. I had a big operation in early January that will take me months to get over.

“I had pancreas cancer so I had to have that removed. Not the entire pancreas – but still, it was bad news. They’ve cut out the bad bit. I’ve had a bit of chemo, got to have that, which I’m doing now, in case there’s anything hanging about. Once that’s done, I should be back to doing what I do for a living.”

Bolder admits he was “shell-shocked” when doctors told him the news, but adds: “I’m over that. I’m up and down.”

He describes convalescence as “boring,” explaining: “I need to get my concentration back, to be honest, because I get tired real quick at the moment. Luckily I’ve got my studio at home so I can start messing around and get my efforts back. I want to do that, and write a few songs.

“In a couple of months I should be back to normal and doing roadwork with Uriah Heep. Originally, I was told it would be nine months. I’ve gone private now and they say it should be four months – as long as I take it steady.”

Bolder has also told Classic Rock that plans are afoot for the Spiders From Mars to play a reunion gig around Christmas, featuring him, drummer Woody Woodmansey and an as-yet unnamed vocalists.

John Lawton sera de retour chez Uriah Heep pour un concert... cela se passera au Festival International de Jazz de San Javier (Murcia, ES). Le festival se déroulera du 29 juin au 27 juillet 2013...

Trevor Bolder sera de retour à temps dans Uriah Heep pour assurer le concert du Download Festival le 14 juin prochain :

Trevor Bolder will return to Uriah Heep in time for their appearance at this year’s Download Festival, the band have vowed.

The bassist was sidelined earlier this year with what was originally believed to have been a heart attack – but he later revealed to Classic Rock that he was suffering from pancreatic cancer.

Heep say in a statement: “The band is delighted to be helping Download 2013 kick things off in style with an appearance on the opening date, 14 June.

“This date has also had increased significance for the band as Trevor has stated that he wants to be back in harness for this show.

“The recovery of Bolder – of course a huge part of the Heep puzzle, and a former Bowie/Ziggy band member – is going well. It looks like Heep will be able to welcome him back, to take over from Dave Rimmer who is currently standing in for him, in the near future.”
