1990 : Stevie Ray Vaughan meurt dans un accident d'hélicoptère. Vaughan revenait d'un concert au Alpine Valley Music Theatre, East Troy, Wisconsin avec Robert Cray & His Memphis Horns, et Eric Clapton. Vaughan a reçu un message d'un membre de l'équipe de Clapton, l'informant que trois places étaient libres dans un hélicoptère retournant à Chicago avec l'équipe de Clapton, mais au final seul un siège était libre. Trois membres de l'équipe de Clapton ont aussi trouvé la mort lors de l'accident.
