Würzel , ex-guitariste de Motörhead nous a quittés.

According to a posting on the Facebook page of Tim Butcher, MOTÖRHEAD leader Ian "Lemmy" Kilmister's longtime bass tech and "right-hand man," former MOTÖRHEAD guitarist Michael "Würzel" Burston died earlier today (Saturday, July 9). He was 61 years old.

Before joining MOTÖRHEAD in 1984, Burston had been a corporal in the Army, serving in Germany and Ireland with the 1st Battalion of the Gloucestershire Regiment, and had played in the bands BASTARD and WARFARE. Joining another relatively unknown guitarist, Phil Campbell, they played together at a MOTÖRHEAD audition, and both were taken on.

Burston acquired the nickname Würzel while in the Army, being compared to the character Worzel Gummidge due to his scarecrow-style hair and bumpkin-like manner. Lemmy reportedly demanded that Würzel add an umlaut to the "U" in his name, for "heavy metal effect."

For the past couple of years, Burston has played with a new band called LEADER OF DOWN, which last month headlined the main stage at the U.K. fundraising music festival "Never Mind The Bullocks" in aid of Midlands Air Ambulance.

Würzel joined MOTÖRHEAD on stage on November 28, 2009 at the Hammersmith Apollo to perform the band's classic song "Ace Of Spades". Video footage of his appearance can be seen below.

Dan Peek, fondateur du groupe America est décédé le 24 juillet dernier à l’âge de 60 ans, les causes ne sont toujours pas connues.

Son site reste très discret, on peut juste y lire : “Dan est au paradis depuis le 24 juillet 2011.” Peek avait formé America avec Dewey Bunnell et Gerry Beckley en 1969. Dan Peek était né le 1er novembre 1950 à Panama City en Floride.

Claude Laydu, le créateur de Bonne nuit les petits, est décédé le 29 juillet à l'âge de 84 ans.

Décès hier d'Andrew McDermott, ex-chanteur de Threshold, groupe dont je suis particulièrement fan. Il était âgé de 45 ans.

Il serait décédé d'une insuffisance rénale.

L'acteur et imitateur Henri Tisot, célèbre pour ses parodies du Général de Gaulle, est mort dans la nuit de vendredi à samedi dans sa résidence de Sanary-sur-Mer (Var) à l'âge de 74 ans, apprend-on samedi auprès de sa famille, confirmant une annonce de Var Matin.

Il ne souffrait d'aucune pathologie particulière et a été victime d'un malaise, a-t-on précisé dans son entourage. Ses obsèques auront lieu mercredi à 14h30 à l'Eglise Notre-Dame de la Seyne-sur-Mer (Var), suivies de son inhumation au cimetière local, selon la famille.

Reconnu dans les années soixante pour ses imitations du Général qu'il se gardait bien de nommer en parlant de "qui vous savez", Henri Tisot avait joué dans de nombreux films au cinéma et à la télévision. Il était également comédien de théâtre et avait écrit une dizaine d'ouvrages dont "De Gaulle et moi Quelle Aventure!" publié en 2010.

Henri Tisot, né en 1937 à La Seyne-sur-Mer, a interprété principalement des rôles comiques, comme celui de Lucien Gonfaron dans Le Temps des copains (1960/62).

Depuis les années 1980, il avait surtout joué au théâtre, notamment du Feydeau aux côtés de Robert Lamoureux et Pierre Mondy.

Féru de religion, Henri Tisot s'était converti au christianisme et a notamment écrit sur son expérience mystique et notamment "La Rencontre d'Amour", livre dans lequel il raconte l'enseignement chrétien qu'il a reçu d'un religieux atypique.

Il a aussi écrit sur le gaullisme et consacré un livre à "Eve, la première femme, notre mère à tous" considérant que l'avoir chargée du péché originel constituait "la plus flagrante erreur judiciaire".

Jani Lane, le chanteur de Warrant a été retrouvé mort dans un hotel à Los Angeles. Les causes de la mort n'ont pas encore été déterminées :

Jani Lane -- former lead singer of the rock band Warrant -- was found dead at a hotel in L.A. Thursday evening ... TMZ has learned.

Lane's body was discovered at the Comfort Inn hotel in Woodland Hills, CA. So far, no official cause of death has been released.

Sadly I have to report the loss this week of a dear friend - Dave Dilloway.

The more devoted fans of our ancient pre-Queen history will know Dave's name well.

He was the bass player in the first group I played publicly with ... we called ourselves 1984.

Dave was also a bit of an unorthodox experimenter in the electronics of guitar amplifiers and the mechanics of guitars.

He was also the chap I mostly sat next to at school when we were both about 15-18 years old.

We made our first amateur recordings of Shadows songs and the like together - just the two of us ...using two tape recorders ... his Dad's and my Dad's ... playing back from one, and recording on the other, and adding instruments on the way.

Shockingly bad sound, because we were using a dirt cheap Acos microphone !

But we managed to make it work.

Dave was a true friend to me as the years rolled on.

It cannot have been easy for him to watch me fulfil a lot of the dreams we had as kids,

and find me inaccessible for much of each year because of touring and the like.

But he always treated me normally - like we were just the same pals we'd been as kids... and seemed to instinctively understand the problems that my apparently glamorous life brought with it.

This takes effort, and the good will of a real friend.

I saw him for the last time a couple of weeks ago, and we had some laughs, even though he was quite weak.

He made sure I got the early tapes we worked on ... he must have known his remaining time was short.

I will be going to his funeral, and hope to give some support to his wife and family, who have been incredibly brave about the whole thing.

Very sad to lose Dave - let's hope he is smiling up there with a Fender Precision around his neck !

Picture: Our group '1984' - pictured by a local news photographer around 1965 ... we had just won a local 'beat contest' ! My prize was a Barbara Streisand LP ! Dave Dilloway is second from left, holding his Hofner Bass. I am at the extreme right with home-straightened, Beatle-style hair ! But the guitar is the same. The group played semi-professionally - our first public gig ever was at Molesey Boat Club at Putney. I think we commanded a fee of 15 pounds that night.

La mort de Fx a profondément touché les Français mais cette triste nouvelle a aussi été relayée en Grande Bretagne, autre pays où la télé-réalité est reine.

Le Daily Mail titre ainsi :

"La Star du Big Brother français s'est suicidée parce qu'elle ne pouvait pas s'adapter à la vie en dehors de la maison"

Reprenant les différentes déclarations des anciens candidats qui accusent Endemol d'avoir joué un rôle dans la chute d'FX, le quotidien anglais s'interroge sur le suivi psychologique des candidats de la télé-réalité.

Retour sur la personnalité et la carrière de FX en photos dans notre diaporama

Big Brother rencontre un véritable succès outre-manche et ce premier mort de la télé-réalité choque ceux qui n'ont pourtant pas froid aux yeux comme en attestent les aventures de Jade Goody, star de Big Brother qui a fait filmer son agonie...

Mais avec ce premier suicide, les bonnes questions se posent enfin.

FX aurait sans doute aimé faire la une d'un journal anglais, mais certainement pas pour un tel sujet
