Sur son site officiel, Glenn Hughes a annoncé qu'il avait terminé d'enregistrer les parties vocales. Il a de plus précisé que le nouvel album pourrait sortir le 30 octobre.

Lors d'un entretien jeudi dernier avec ABC Nouvelles Radio, Hughes a révélé que "Afterglow" pourrait être le dernier CD en raison des engagements de Bonamassa en tournée en solo. "Je déteste vous le dire, mais c'est parce que j'ai besoin d'être dans un groupe qui tourne de manière régulière», at-il ajouté.

«Si j'avais une baguette magique", at-il ajouté, "je l'agiterais au-dessus de la tête de tout le monde et allez « Hé, les gars, on va aller faire 200 spectacles en 2013 [] et on va être un énorme groupe de rock 'n' roll dans le monde. C'est ça qui n'arrivera pas. "

«Pour le nouvel album, J'ai pensé que si cela devait être le dernier album ... alors j'ai besoin de venir avec quelques morceaux très sauvages et épiques, at-il noté. "Donc, je suis vraiment fier de cet album."

Hughes a également révélé à ABC Nouvelles Radio qu'il a formé un nouveau groupe appelé KINGS OF CHAOS avec plusieurs autres musiciens qui ont participé au Rock 'N' Roll Allstars qui a tourné en Avril. Dans le line-up Joe Elliott (chant, Def Leppard), Duff McKagan (basse, GUNS N 'ROSES, VELVET REVOLVER, ), Matt Sorum (batterie, GUNS N' ROSES, VELVET REVOLVER, THE CULT) et Steve Stevens (guitare, BILLY IDOL).

Selon Hughes, KINGS OF CHAOS sera en tournée en divers endroits du monde - les coins exotiques, si vous voulez, les tropiques et même en Amérique», à commencer par un trek en Avril 2013 en Amérique du Sud. Le groupe va également enregistrer "une série de maxis," touts dotés de trois reprises et une chanson originale. Et ... les lineups de KINGS OF CHAOS vont changer", at-il expliqué. Le groupe de base sera le même. Donc, ça va être toujours en mouvement et en mutation. "

Une version légèrement différente de KINGS OF CHAOS - avec les musiciens précités moins Hughes - fera ses débuts enregistrés sur le prochain album hommage de DEEP PURPLE "Re-machined" qui sortira le 25 Septembre via Eagle Records.

Un autre supergroupe avec Glenn Hughes, Joe Elliott, Duff McKagan, Matt Sorum et Steve Stevens verra sans doute le jour. Ca ne risque pas d'être du même tonneau.

Following the news that their third album Afterglow - released in the UK on Monday 29th October, supergroup Black Country Communion, the Anglo-American rock group featuring guitarist/vocalist Joe Bonamassa, bassist/vocalist Glenn Hughes drummer Jason Bonham, and keyboardist Derek Sherinian, today announced that they will perform a one-show only UK concert in the heart of the black country, at the Wolverhampton Civic Hall on Saturday January 5th 2013.

Last week, Black Country Communion announced a single UK concert date, scheduled for Wolverhampton Civic Hall on Saturday, January 5, 2013.

Now, just days later, the group has canceled the event “due to unforeseen circumstances.”

The band remains on track to release their third studio album, “Afterglow,” on October 30, but no further details have been provided regarding the schedule change, the only show planned for 2013.

The feud between Glenn Hughes and Joe Bonamassa over the future of Black Country Communion has gone public, with the pair indulging in a brief exchange on Twitter.

The supergroup’s future has been in doubt since frontman Hughes warned he was ready to quit, saying he was frustrated with Bonamassa’s solo career meaning they couldn’t tour their new album, Afterglow.

The former Deep Purple and Black Sabbath man also said he’d been left with the main songwriting chores for the record because Bonamassa was unavailable.

Last week they announced a one-off show in England for January, which some believed was a make-or-break moment – then cancelled it soon after pre-sale tickets had become available.

In the absence of an official explanation, producer Kevin Shirley – who masterminded the union of Hughes, Bonamassa, Jason Bonham and Derek Sherinian – said: “I like to leave these things alone, but I feel an apology is in order. When you’re thrown a lifeline, it doesn’t serve you to steal the rope! And tweeting doesn’t make it history, or true. Your call will be answered – please enjoy the music…”

Last night bluesman Bonamassa, who’s just released a video for his song Dislocated Boy, tweeted: “I am very sorry about the Black Country Communion canceled gig. But principle still stands for something in 2012. I ready to move on.”

Hughes, who will tonight appear at the Jim Marshall tribute show in London’s Wembley Arena, retweeted the comment and added: “Me too.” Earlier, during rehearsals for the show with Andy Fraser and Yngwie Malmsteen, he’d tweeted: “Been a rough week.”

BCC formed in 2009 at Shirley’s suggestion and released their debut album the following year.

Afterglow is released at the end of October.

Black Country Communion drummer Jason Bonham admits he’s frustrated over the band’s inability to tour new album Afterglow.

He says he was told the supergroup would be hitting the road to promote its release – despite Joe Bonamassa’s insistence that everyone knew he didn’t have time to do so.

On Wednesday the guitarist broke his silence over the fall-out between him and Glenn Hughes, saying he was upset that the frontman had tried to “bully” him into playing live.

Now Bonham tells Classic Rock: “It is kinda sad that we do this product, then when it comes to touring there’s no plans. I find that really amazing.

“When I started this project I didn’t know what we were doing. As it took off I thought we were bound to start working more. I’m not blaming anybody in particular – but we should tour. I love everyone in the band and I’d love to take it on the road. Certain powers-that-be are holding us back.”

The drummer says he wasn’t aware that Bonamassa wouldn’t be available – and if he wasn’t, he wonders why BCC went into the studio to record Afterglow when they did.

“All I know is, when we did the album there was talk of touring to promote it,” he reports. “I thought there would be.

“I can go on the internet and I can see Joe’s schedule – he’s booked up throughout the whole year. So I felt: what was the rush to start the album when we did? Surely we should have done it when we had time, and Joe had time, to promote it?”

Bonamassa has said he refused to appear at BCC’s one-off show in Wolverhampton because he was worried Hughes would “make some stupid fucking announcement on stage” relating to whether the band had a future.

Asked if he can explain exactly what happened, Bonham says: “I have no idea. I’ve had no contact with the other guys except Glenn. I tried to get a reaction from Joe’s management but they just said there were complications.

“I could sense there was something up – somebody was upset somewhere about something.

“It’s very fucking frustrating: I absolutely adore Joe to bits. He’s one of the best guitar players around. But I just wish we could tour.

“I know he’s busy; I get it, I do get it. But Glenn, myself and Derek Sherinian, we’d love to tour. Maybe we’ll figure out some way to do it. Who knows? I just hope we can work something out.”

Vous en pensez quoi de ce nouveau crû de Black Country Communion dont on dit que c'est effectivement le dernier ? En ce qui me concerne, les compos me paraissent peut-être moins accessibles et moins accrocheuses plus syncopées notamment Big Train. Je suis là dans une deuxième écoute de ce nouvel album. Et je ne suis guère convaincu comme je le fus pour "2".

Dans l'interview accordée à Rock Hard, ce mois-ci, Glenn Hughes après avoir clamé haut et fort que BCC était un véritablement UN GROUPE, révèle finalement, je cite "qu'il s'agit plus de mon groupe que d"un super groupe"" avançant l'argument selon lequel il en est l'unique compositeur.
Autre révélation qui en fera réagir plus d'un à propos de Jon Lord, qui globalement a toujours tenu des propos sages et mesurés et ce fut encore le cas en 1976 où sur le DVD Phoenix Rising de DP, il fait mention du fait que "Come Taste The Band ne peut pas être considéré comme un album du Pourpre", ce à quoi, Hughes répond en disant qu'il ne s'agit pas d'un "album traditionnel". Il continue en disant que c'est davantage un "album de Tommy Bolin, David Coverdale, et Glenn Hughes, l'aube d'une nouvelle génération."

On dirait que les deux compères se sont réconciliés : "La nuit dernière, Joe B et moi nous avons parlé de la profonde affection que nous ressentions pour ce groupe et de notre réelle amitié. BCC vit dans la sérénité".

Allez, le 4ème album est pour dans deux semaines.

Sur Afterglow, Bonamassa est passé à gauche dans le mix, Sherinian à droite. A part sur Crawl qui date de BCC II qui n'a visiblement ni été ré-enregistré ni remixé entre-temps.

Joe Bonammassa vient de déclarer que pour lui, BCC c'était bon parce que durant la tournée 2011, les tensions étaient palpables et qu'effectivement, ce genre d'ambiance ne correspondait pas à ce qu'il attendait d'une tournée. Il affirme, par ailleurs que les choses avaient été définies dès le départ sur le fait qu'il tenait à tourner pour son compte chaque année, chose que lui avait reprochée Glenn Hughes. Et puis, dernière chose, Bonamassa, finalement, avoue avoir été satisfait de pouvoir s'échapper de BCC pour pouvoir se consacrer à l'album avec Beth Hart puis l'album We Want Groove-Rock Candy Party.

Guitarist Joe Bonamassa says he’s done with Black Country Communion, the supergroup that includes bassist/vocalist Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple, Trapeze, Black Sabbath), drummer Jason Bonham (Led Zeppelin), and keyboardist Derek Sherinian (Dream Theater).

"As far as I'm concerned, my involvement is pretty much done, and I'll tell you why: Originally, I did it for the same reasons I did the stuff with Beth Hart and Rock Candy Funk Party — it was an excuse to play a different kind of music that I don't get to play normally,” Bonamassa tells Premiere Guitar.

"The first two records were a blast — the band is fantastic when the Ritalin kicks in, the ADD goes away, and everyone's focused,” he continued. “It's a devastatingly good rock band of the early-1970s type, and Glenn is a fantastic singer — just one of the best ever. So I did it and did a nine-week tour in 2011 that really, by the end of it, wasn't fun for me. It wasn't because I didn't like the cats in the band, but it was just too much — too much involved in getting people from place to place and getting the band onstage. Everybody seemed to be very tense, and it made my crew very tense, and it's not the way I like to tour. I run a family — I have 21 people who go on the road with me all the time, and if you asked them who was the cause of the least of their problems, they would say me. Unless there was no Diet Coke — then it's a huge [expletive] problem, and either I'm going to the supermarket or somebody else is. [laughs]”

Ahead of last fall’s release of their third album, “Afterglow,” Hughes dropped a bombshell about the group's future, telling ABC News Radio, "This may be the [band's] last album. I hate to break it to you, but it just may be, because I need to be in a band that tours on a regular basis."

Bonamassa has always maintained that the group were aware of his annual touring schedule as a solo artist, which would have made any touring – certainly any extensive road trips – unlikely.

"But it just wasn't fun for me anymore,” explained the guitarist. “All the stuff that Glenn says in the media, essentially pinning it on me — that I was the reason for the band's lack of touring and the band's lack of future. It became rapidly not fun at all. It would be dishonest of me to get onstage and pretend like I'm having fun to please the band. I'm just not the guitar player for that band, but, unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any out-of-work guitar players in L.A. that they can get. There are so many guys that can fill that role and I would be the first guy to queue up and buy a ticket. So that's my story with it. I'm happily not involved anymore, but I'm happy with the legacy that I left with that band and happy with the records we made. It was a great three years for me."

L'idée était dans l'air depuis quelques temps déjà suite aux déclaration de Glenn Hughes concernant le peu de temps que Joe Bonamassa accordait au groupe (ce qui empêchait Black Country Communion de tourner), puis son refus de jouer pour des tarifs qu'il jugeait trop élevés (prix des billets fixés par le manager de Joe).

Cette fois, c'est officiel, Black Country Communion, c'est fini !



Glenn Hughes vient de publier sur sa page Facebook le communiqué suivant :

"Joe quitte le groupe et ne nous laissera pas garder le nom. Sympa, hein ? Jason, Derek et moi allons continuer sous un nom différent quand ce sera le bon moment"

Voilà c'est clair et net, les fans sortez vos mouchoirs, les naïfs, interrogez-vous sur la dure réalité qui se cache derrière les paillettes du showbiz et à bientôt messieurs pour de nouvelles aventures...sous un autre nom, donc !


"Afterglow" sera donc bien le dernier disque du groupe comme le laissait entendre il y a peu Glenn Hughes.

En même temps, Joe avait de son côté déclaré, tout en finesse : "De ce que j'en sais, mon implication dans le groupe est quasiment terminée... c'était une excuse pour jouer un genre de musique que je ne joue pas habituellement." puis il continue de manière bien plus directe "Ce n'était plus agréable du tout. Tous les trucs que Glenn a dit dans les médias, me pointant du doigt, que j'étais la raison pour laquelle le groupe ne tournait pas assez et n'avait pas vraiment d'avenir. C'est rapidement devenu désagréable. Ce serait malhonnête de ma part de monter sur scène et prétendre prendre du plaisir pour rendre service au groupe... Heureusement, je ne suis plus impliqué du tout, mais je suis heureux de l'héritage que je laisse avec ce groupe et heureux des disques que nous avons faits avec le groupe. Ce furent trois grandes années pour moi".

Mme Phil, en écoutant The Great Divide sur Live Over Europe : "Waouuuuuuh, ça chante drôlement bien !!!!!!!".
