Europe Announce 2011 Tour

Europe are coming back to the UK next year for another tour.

The Swedes are dubbing this the Balls ‘N’ Banners tour, with the following shows:

Feb. 17: Glasgow O2 Academy

Feb. 18: Birmingham O2 Academy

Feb. 19: London Shepherds Bush Empire

Feb. 21: Oxford O2 Academy

Feb. 22: Bournemouth O2 Academy

Feb. 23: Bristol O2 Academy

Feb. 25: Manchester Academy 2

Feb. 26: Leeds O2 Academy

Feb. 27: Newcastle O2 Academy

Tickets go sale from 9am on Friday, July 30, when the band play at the Sonisphere Festival

Hello friends

What a show last night! The audience really made it a special. Completely sold out this year! Things are moving in the right direction for us. Hopefully next year we will perform in an even bigger venue. We had loads of cameras rolling. The new DVD with really cool extra material will be out in May/June. It feels good to deliver a different show to the one featured on our last DVD from 20o4. The Gary Moore tribute and the New song DOGHOUSE feels like excellent additions to our show. We haven't really played More than meets the eye in a long time either. We really enjoy these new extra bits and we have come to realize how much the audience appreciate it. Also we are so pleased with our light designers work on stage. The look is great!
The tour is going really well and we will update this blog with films and pics as we go along........so please keep visiting.

Ce groupe c'est une horreur !

Les gouts et les couleurs, Frisou......

Pis, tu vas filer un ulcère au Philounet.

Europe véhicule encore cette image de "groupe pour pucelles effarouchées" mais à l'écoute de Last Look At Eden, dernier album studio en date, on sent malgré tout que le groupe a changé son orientation initiale pour se diriger vers une musique plus heavy. Les stéréotypes ont la vie dure.

Leur premier album a fait un grand succés et "The Final Countdown" est un classique du Rock, à mon humble avis. Ce titre a cartonné aussi en Allemagne à sa sortie et je pouvais facilement léecouter en radio pendant mon service militaire.

"Carrie" a peut-être eu un effet plus "néfaste" sur le groupe. L'album est le groupe ont pris des critiques négatives bien après.

J'ai l'album et je conçois que tous les titres n'ont pas vieilli de la même manière, mais ils ne sont pas les seuls dans ce cas.

Un album trop mou sans grande consistance. Bref, on s'ennuie ferme à l'écoute de ce nouvel opus qui, effectivement, n'a rien à voir avec le brillant Last Look At Eden où là, nous avions des morceaux qui percutaient. Je n'ai même plus envie d'aller les voir sur leur prochaine date parisienne.

Europe est annoncé au Download Festival :

Europe will return to make up for their cancelled set last year after heavy rain meant their gear arrived on time but the band didn’t. Frontman Joey Tempest said at the time: “The flight was two-hour delayed from Sweden so the guys were very late. Then we hit traffic on the way here. It was very close but in the end we had to postpone. We didn’t want to go on and play one or two songs – we wanted to play a good set.”

They’ll join headliners Iron Maiden, Rammstein and Slipknot at the hallowed Leicestershire location for the 11th edition of the event that replaced Monsters Of Rock in 2003.
