On Sunday February 21st, GEORGE LYNCH (LYNCH MOB, SOULS OF WE,
ex-DOKKEN) was interviewed on-air by WSCA 106.1 FM's Turn It Up host
Jim Alvino. Topics discussed included the new albums by Souls Of We and
Lynch Mob, songwriting, recording with other artists, and the live
shows that Lynch Mob was the opener for Dokken. The discussion of
songwriting led Lynch to reveal that he has been writing songs for a new Dokken album with the classic 1980s lineup. To dig deeper into how this came together, Alvino asked if the live shows prompted this reunion.

Turn It Up: The shows that you did at the end of last year, with Lynch
Mob opening for Dokken, and at the end the classic lineup of Dokken
playing together again, has that now blown up into that lineup working
together again?

George Lynch: "Yes, actually it has. And that's something that isn't
gonna happen for a little while. We all have our respective
commitments, meaning Jeff, Mick, Don and myself are all real busy this
year doing other things. But we've all made a commitment to each other
to dedicate ourselves to getting back together. We've already got three
songs on the table and we're gonna continue to write throughout the
year and put the whole business together and probably go in the studio
late fall or early winter of this year and then have a record out
toward late spring of next year, and then hit the road."

The entire 27-minute interview, in which Lynch expands upon the new
Dokken material as well as an update on Souls Of We, and the 13-minute

Broken Bones sera le titre du prochain album de DOKKEN et devrait sortir vers le mois de Juin 2012 via Frontiers Record.

Don Dokken vient d'annoncer que Broken Bones serait le dernier du groupe :

Don Dokken says Broken Bones is his last Dokken album, because he wants to move on to other projects.

The vocalist feels he’s achieved everything he can in the confines of his current style of music, and he now wants to move in a different direction.

First up will be an acoustic music project with Michael Schenker – which Dokken says will be a departure for both of them.

He tells Glide: “I think I’ve said what I had to say in that style of music – I want to stretch out a little bit and do other things.

“I’m going to start work with Michael. I saw him last month and he said, ‘Don, we’ve always been talking about doing an acoustic record,’ and I said, ‘Yeah.’ He gave me a couple of albums that are just instrumental and I said, ‘Why don’t I see if I can write lyrics and sing over the songs?’

“It’s coming out really great. It’s not rock – it’s a kind of chill records.”

Dokken guitarist Jon Levin, who’s also involved in the Schenker project, recently admitted he hadn’t been sure the German axe icon was serious when the idea was first mentioned.

Meanwhile, Dokken insists people should listen to Broken Bones more than once before reacting to its contents.

He says: “If you listen once you won’t grasp the gravity of what we were trying to accomplish. All the songs are different – they have their own flavour and vibe.

“Jon and I spent eleven months and wrote over 30 songs. Some of them we rewrote three, four or five times.

“I really pushed myself on this one; it’s our last CD so I said, ‘This has to be it. I want everything to be stellar.’”

Le line up classique se reforme pour quelques dates au Japon en octobre prochain :

After years of intense speculation and recent rumors, it can now be confirmed that DOKKEN will indeed reform its classic lineup for a fall run of dates. Singer Don Dokken, guitarist George Lynch, bassist Jeff Pilson and drummer "Wild" Mick Brown will return to the stage together in Japan — for the first time in 21 years — for a six-show run dubbed "Unleashed In The East".

Don Dokken states: "I am very excited to come back to Japan and play with the members of DOKKEN that I spent so much time with. Being that its only six shows, we are going to make it as spectacular as possible."

DOKKEN will launch the tour on October 5 in Osaka, Japan, before heading to Fukuoka, Tokyo for an appearance at the Loud Park festival and continuing on to Hiroshima, Aichi and finally, back to Tokyo for the final show on October 12.

Tickets for this once-in-a-lifetime event, as well as VIP-package experiences, will be on sale beginning August 27. This will be the one and only opportunity for fans to see the classic lineup play its iconic hits.

Le nouveau groupe composé de trois membres du line-up classique de DOKKEN et de l’ancien chanteur de LYNCH MOB et actuel chanteur de WARRANT, Robert Mason, a été baptisé #TheEND :

Le guitariste George Lynch, qui a rejoint THE END avec son ancien membre du groupe DOKKEN, Jeff Pilson (basse) et Mick Brown (batterie), a révélé le nom du groupe lors d'une interview avec la station de radio The Rock 94.9 et 104.5 d'Idaho. Il a dit: "Je fais beaucoup de disques sans trop d'efforts, ce qui est pas mal, comme KXM et ULTRAPHONIX, qui sont écrits très rapidement. On suit nos premiers instincts, et nous ne travaillons pas vraiment dessus. Le disque THE END est vraiment le contraire de cela.

"Jeff et moi avons passé beaucoup de temps à créer les chansons, comme nous l'avons fait lors des journéesdu temps de DOKKEN", a-t-il poursuivi. "Je pense qu'il y a pas mal de rock artistique des années 70 dans certaines de ces chansons, ce qui est plutôt cool. On a le groove habituel, le heavy rock, le rock mélodique, mais ça a aussi le son des années 70, ELO, ELTON JOHN [vibe] - des changements vraiment intéressants, intelligents, classiques, un disque très satisfaisant à écouter - il est assez profond et je pense que les gens vont vraiment l'aimer. Il ne sonne pas comme LP [LYNCH / PILSON], ça ne sonne pas comme LYNCH MOB. Il y a des éléments de tout ça, évidemment.

THE END, connu initialement sous le nom de SUPER STROKE, sortira son premier album en février 2019.

Pilson a récemment déclaré qu'il était "ravi au-delà de toute conviction" avec le disque de THE END, disant à Clay Marshall: "Je suis vraiment fier de ce disque - les chansons et le chant de Robert . C'est juste un album phénoménal, et je suis impatient qu'il sorte. "

Plus tôt cette année, Mason a déclaré au podcast "Talking Metal" que travailler avec Lynch, Pilson et Brown "nous a tous donné une nouvelle idée de ce que c’était de créer ensemble et peut-être même de jouer ensemble. . "

Le bassiste Chris Mc Carvill a confirmé que le successeur de Broken Bones était terminé. Pour faire patienter ses fans le groupe a publié une vidéo de l'un de ses derniers concerts :

C'est passé inaperçu mais il y a un coffret "The Elektra Albums 1983–1987"  qui est sorti au mois de janvier. Ce coffret regroupe les quatre premiers albums disponibles aux formats CD (4) et LP (5).
