Steven Tyler, le chanteur sexagénaire du groupe de rock américain Aerosmith, est entré en cure de désintoxication en Californie, rapporte le magazine musical NME.

On pensait l'artiste sauvé de ses démons depuis plus de 20 ans, après avoir lutté contre des problèmes de drogue dans les années '70 et '80. Tyler, père de l'actrice Liv Tyler, est entré au Las Encinas Hospital à Pasadena, une clinique où se tourne la télé-réalité "Celebrity Rehab".

Une hépatite C -liée au matériel utilisé pour se droguer- avait été diagnostiquée au chanteur il y a quelques années. (7sur7)

je connais pas grand chose de ce groupe, pourtant j'en entend souvent parler, je connais seulement leur reprise de Love Me Two Times, de the Doors, et leur apparition dans Wayne's World 2.

Un grand groupe, à mon avis... Si je fais abstraction de quelques morceaux dégoulinants qui frôlent la mauvaise pop, je trouve qu'ils ont quand même à leur actif quelques perles: Dream on, bien sûr, Kings and Queens, Adam's apple, Lord of the thighs, Mama kin, leur incroyable version de Cry me a river... et autres morceaux mémorables. Voilà bien un groupe que j'aimerais voir en live, s'ils veulent bien arrêter leurs âneries.

Retour d’Aerosmith en studio au mois d’octobre (20/08/08)

Aerosmith entrera en studio en octobre pour y enregistrer un nouvel album. Le groupe prévoit aussi de se lancer dans une nouvelle tournée à partir du printemps 2009.

Le leader d'Aerosmith a fait une mauvaise chute lors d'un concert du groupe en plein air au rally moto de Sturgis (Dakota du Sud), alors qu'il interprétait... Love in an Elevator. (aux paroles adéquates : "Lovin it up till I hit the ground")

Le chanteur charismatique de 61 ans a dû être raccompagné en coulisses puis transporté à l'hôpital régional de Rapid City après l'arrivée des secours - une nouvelle annoncée à la foule par le guitariste Joe Perry vers 00h15. L'accident s'est produit lors d'une panne de courant survenue en début de concert, alors que Steven dansait pour faire patienter le public.
Un témoin raconte : "Le son s'est soudainement arrêté pendant Love in an Elevator et Steven est tombé alors qu'il tentait de tenir le public en haleine en dansant. J'espère qu'il va bien, car la chute était vraiment impressionnante. La scène était glissante à cause de la pluie".

Aerosmith contraint d'annuler sa tournée US


It is with great regret that AEROSMITH are cancelling the remainder of their summer tour, it was announced today.

Due
to injuries (frontman) Steven Tyler sustained last week when he fell
from the stage during a concert in Sturgis, SD, doctors have advised
the lead singer to take the time to properly recuperate from the
accident that resulted in a broken shoulder and stitches to his head.
In his current condition, Tyler is unable to tour and the band wants to
give him time to get healthy.

"Words can't express the sadness I
feel for having to cancel this tour,” says Joe Perry. “I would like to
thank our loyal fans for sticking by us through thick and thin and all
the good energy they are sending our way. We hope we can get the
Aerosmith machine up and running again as soon as possible. I sure am
going to miss playing with ZZ Top just as I'm sure the fans are going
to miss seeing them playing with us as well. Hope to see you sooner
than later.”

Joe adds, “My hat’s off to our crew for putting up
with this crazy stop and start tour. In my estimation, it was one of
the best looking and best run tours we've ever had. Us road dawgs will
meet again. May your wheels keep turning and your load in's stay
smooth.”

“All of us here in the Aerosmith organization and all
of the people who contribute to making our shows possible are in a
state of shock,” Brad Whitford says. “We never anticipated this tour
coming to such a swift and unfortunate ending. Our thoughts and prayers
go out to Steven for a speedy recovery and return to good health.”

Tyler vient d'annoncer qu'il restait au sein du groupe .

Tyler joined the Joe Perry Project onstage in New York last night for
the Aerosmith classic Walk This Way. And he took the chance to tell the
crowd at the Fillmore New York venue that, actually, he wasn’t quitting
the band!

Joe Perry percuté en moto par une conductrice âgée de 62 ans !!!!!!!!!!

After being hit in the rear of his bike by a 62-year-old female driver on Thursday afternoon in Middleboro, Aerosmith lead guitarist Joe Perry, who will turn 60 on Sept. 10, was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital, where he was checked out and quickly released.
Joe is doing okay, and returned to his Duxbury home shortly after the accident.
In recent years Perry has undergone surgery for knee problems.
Perry returned from the band’s European tour just last week, and is set to appear with Aerosmith in Oakland, California next week on July 23.
The band will be performing at Fenway Park in Boston on Aug. 14.
Perry’s stepson, Aaron, who had been riding another motorcycle, was with his father at the scene of the accident.
Aaron, who is the CEO of Perry’s Rock Your World hot sauce brand, was not hit by the driver.
In a twist of fate, on Thursday Perry’s son, Anthony, listed his 2008 Triumph Daytona 675 motorcycle for sale for $7,000. Anthony said in the listing, “The reason I am selling it is I started racing cars and need money for that.”
Prior to Aeorsmith’s recent European jaunt, the guitarist had been on the road for months with his solo band, The Joe Perry Project, to support his solo effort Have Guitar, Will Travel. The Project, which had backed up other bands during its gigs, including Motley Crue and Bad Company, wrapped up its tour at Wembley Arena in London this past April.

Aerosmith won’t be forced to postpone or cancel any shows on their upcoming US tour after Joe Perry was injured in a road accident.

Perry’s motorbike was hit in the rear by a car when stationary at a red light in Massachusetts last week. The guitarist was subsequently treated for undisclosed injuries.

Steven Tyler is to release a solo single in November.

Blabbermouth are reporting that the song is the theme for the upcoming Japanese movie Space Battleship Yamoto. The song itself is called Love Lives. The single will also feature acoustic, piano and instrumental versions of the song, as well as the original.

Apparently, the Aerosmith frontman wrote the song after getting a translated script and a video of the final battle scene.

Posting online, producer Jack Douglas had this to say about the as yet untitled record: “The new album should be out around May 2012. I know that’s a long wait, but after the South American tour and Japan in October, November and December, we will just get back to work on it in mid-January.

“For those who are asking, this album will be raw, nasty, tough rock with a good deal of the old Aerosmith tongue in cheek.”

Steven Tyler, chanteur du groupe américain de rock Aerosmith, est soigné dans une clinique privée du Paraguay après avoir été blessé au visage à la suite d'une chute dans sa chambre d'hôtel à Asuncion, a-t-on appris aujourd'hui auprès des médias locaux.
Le chanteur de 62 ans a été transporté dans une clinique privée, où lui ont été diagnostiqués une coupure au sourcil, des blessures à la bouche et deux dents cassées, a rapporté l'édition en ligne du quotidien ABC, citant des témoignages du personnel de la clinique.


Steven Tyler, le chanteur du groupe Aerosmith, est soigné au Paraguay après avoir été blessé au visage à la suite d'une chute dans sa chambre d'hôtel à Asuncion, ont indiqué les médias locaux. Le concert prévu en soirée au Jockey Club, devant lequel des centaines de fans faisaient la queue, a été repoussé à mercredi, ont indiqué les organisateurs.
