QUEEN

Brian May et Roger Taylor projettent de tourner sous la bannière "Queen" et par ailleurs, une annonce pourrait être bientôt faite au sujet d'un film retraçant le parcours de Freddie Mercury :

Brian May and Roger Taylor are planning to perform live as Queen later this year, the guitarist has confirmed.

And he’s predicted that an upcoming announcement regarding their Freddie Mercury biopic is going to “cause sensation”.

The guitarist – who recently endured a cancer scare – says via his website: “It looks like it will be a very busy year for us. We seem to be still hovering on the button as I write, ready to start the engine rolling on the Freddie film.

“It’s been a long haul as you know, trying to assemble the right team to make the film. I have learned in my short time in the movie world that availability is everything. There are windows of opportunity, when everyone you need is free – but the windows can close unexpectedly, and it’s back to the drawing board.

“But the line-up is looking very exciting. I think just the announcement will cause a bit of a sensation.”

May says of working with Taylor again: “We’ve been looking at doing some dates – Roger and myself and who knows who else. Of course, these days nothing is a secret for more than the five minutes it takes for Twitter and Facebook to spread rumours.

“I think we’re up for one more swing out there. In fact, in our Queen meeting today we drank on it!”

Queen’s most recent concerts have been with American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert at the front of the band. They played a number of shows in 2012 and appeared in Las Vegas last September.

Meanwhile, the band have released a new video discussing their 1986 shows at Wembley Stadium.

Des enregistrements dont on ne connait pas encore les dates sont en court de ressortie des tiroirs, c'est ce qu'a déclaré Brian May à la BBC lors d'une interview. On y entendra la voix de l'immortel Freddie Mercury tant charisme, talent et présence sont encore là près de 23 ans après sa disparition.
C'est fin 2014 que cet album verra le jour ; espérons que l'effet et l'émotion d'une telle sortie aura le même impact qu'avec " Made in Heaven " en 1995.

Un petit extrait posté il y a quatre jours de Live At The Rainbow '74 :

Le Live At The Rainbow '74 (que j'ai pris en coffret 4 LP) aurait dû sortir à l'époque mais pour des raisons encore inexpliquées, il n'a pas vu le jour. Je l'ai écouté tout à l'heure et putain, il a un son de feu de Dieu notamment une version de Son And Daughter de toute beauté. Un Queen moins commercial reflétant l'atmosphère des premiers albums plus bruts nous propose ENFIN ce live qu'il aurait été dommage de laisser dormir à jamais dans les archives du groupe.

Ca n'était jamais sorti en bootleg ces shows au Rainbow ? C'est totalement inédit ?

Si, c'était du boot. Mais là, on a une prod optimale.

" Le projet biobic sur la vie de Freddie Mercury est relançé après des mois d'abandon. L'acteur, enfin déniché, serait originaire de Zanzibar, comme le chanteur de Queen. Il a 35 ans et s'appelle (vous me pardonnerez mais j'étais en voiture et je n'ai pas retenu ce nom à rallonge, maintenant si vous connaissez dans l'univers cinéma, un acteur de Zanzibar, faites-moi signe). Rencontre exceptionnelle avec Brian May (guitariste de Queen et astrophysicien) en compagnie de Denis Pellerin et Paula Fleming, auteurs du livre "Diableries : Aventures stéréoscopiques en enfer", tout juste paru aux Editions de la Martinière.

Ce livre est le fruit du travail passionné de trois auteurs qui permettent, pour la première fois au XXIe siècle, de publier dans un même ouvrage l’ensemble des Diableries du XIXe siècle. Ces Diableries sont nées en France dans les années 1860, d’une fascination commune pour tout ce qui se révèle être diabolique. Ce sont des séries de dioramas dépeignant la vie de cet autre monde que nous appelons l’Enfer.

À l’époque les Diableries ont su conquérir un plus large public grâce au support des cartes stéréoscopiques, déjà célèbres depuis les années 1850. À la fois témoins et critiques de leur époque, ces dioramas cachent plus d’un sens caché, souvent satyrique, que cet ouvrage vous révèlera.

Ces impressions d’images en 3-D vous sont aujourd’hui de nouveau présentées à l’aide du stéréoscope
OWL fourni en complément de ce livre.

LES AUTEURS

Brian May est l’un des membres fondateurs du groupe Queen, un guitariste de renommée internationale, un
compositeur, un producteur et un artiste qui continue à se produire sur scène. Après 30 ans passés à sillonner
la planète pour la plus grande gloire du rock, il est revenu à ses premières amours et a complété, en 2006, un
doctorat en astrophysique, avant de coécrire son premier livre Bang ! The Complete Story of the Universe.
La photographie en relief a toujours été une passion pour lui.

Denis Pellerin, historien passionné de la photographie en relief, a été enseignant pendant 30 ans. Fasciné
par les Diableries depuis plus de 25 ans, il a écrit plusieurs livres et articles sur le relief au 19e siècle.

Paula Richardson Fleming est une historienne de la photographie, avec un intérêt tout particulier pour le
relief. Son association avec Brian et Denis est née tout naturellement de leur passion commune pour les Diableries.
