Herman Rarebell travaille actuellement sur un nouvel album solo en compagnie de l'ancien chanteur de Revolution Renaissance et de Takara :

Former SCORPIONS drummer Herman Rarebell is working with musicians from California and Brazil — including singer Gustavo Monsanto (REVOLUTION RENAISSANCE, TAKARA) — on the follow-up to Herman's 2010 album, "Take It As it Comes". The new CD will issued under the moniker HERMAN RAREBELL AND THE FATAL STING.

"Take It As it Comes" — a disc of material featuring songs written by friends — was released via Dark Star Records.

In a 2010 interview with Noisecreep, Rarebell stated about his songwriting approach, "I make songs that are very commercial, so [each] could be a single. It's a whole new thing. I think all you need is the forum to promote the music. The more people know about the song, the better chances you have. For example, if you have it in a movie, you have an edge because then people come out of the cinema, they hear the song pulsing their brain, they go home and download it. So it's not like in the old days where the next day you go into the shop, you buy the CD and you take out the cover, you study the whole thing. It's a completely different ballgame now."

On the topic of his former SCORPIONS bandmates, Rarebell said, "They do very good, and I probably just think that it was time after 20 years with them just to something else, no bad blood you know. It was just like you make a decision after you're married for 30 years and you say to your husband, 'Look, I want to do something else in life,' and [you] get divorced.

"Shit happens, as you say. My real life philosophy is what the song says. 'Take it as it comes.' There's not much you can do about it except stay positive. Don't look back, look forward and do something ... you really want to do and live your life. It's my philosophy. That's why I say that with my heart fully behind it. I learned that lesson, you know?"

J'étais passé à côté de ce post.
Le gars ne me lira pas, mais je vais quand meme donné mon avis. Il n'aime pas les Scorpions actuels, soit c'est son droit. Il n'aime pas leur dernier enregistrement, c'est idem.
Mais on ne peut pas nier que Scorpions a sorti deux albums avant celui-ci qui les a relancé sur le devant de la scène Hard.

Leur reprocher leurs fameuses ballades, mais ce n'est pas connaitre Scorpions car ils en ont sorti sur tout leurs disques ou presque. Grâce à "Still Lovin You", ce style musical s'est étendu à un public plus large et certains se sont mis à écouter les autres albums et rien que pour cela, leur déparche a été la bonne. Reproche-t-on "Jump" à Van Halen? Ou a Nirvana d'avoir eu du succés grâce à des titres plus commerciaux? D'ailleurs, qu'est-ce qu'un titre "commercial"? S'il était aussi evident d'en faire, quels artistes préfèreraient sombrer dans l'anonymat plutôt que de sortir un tube?

Scorpions fait une tournée d'adieux qui n'en fini pas, et alors????? Personne n'oblige le public qui se déplace à se rendre aux concerts. J'en ai fait partie en 2010 et je suis ressorti avec la banane car leur concert était excellent.

Quant à insulter Klaus Meine sur son manque d'attributs masculin, c'est d'une puérilité digne d'une cours d'école. Ce blogueur a certainement ne paire bien plus imposantes pour écrire ce genre de critiques pour se faire mousser auprès des lecteurs virtuels en mal de talent pour écrire eux-même.

Bref, vous l'aurez compris, je n'aime pas les insultes gratuites, surtout quand l'insulté ne peut pas se défendre. La société actuelle, hélas, permet cela et de plus en plus.

Si je n'aime pas quelque chose, je le dis de manière correct, sans me prendre pour une personne digne d'un jugement objectif et de connaissur sur un plan artistique.
Ceux qui sortent un mauvais album, un mauvais livre ou un mauvais film le savent en voyant que celui-ce n'a pas de succès. Pourquoi en remettre une couche en étant désagréable. Surtout quand le critiqueur n'en a pas plus, de talent.

Je n'ai pas aimé une certaine période du groupe allemand et je l'ai exprimé. Mais ils semblent avoir repris le chemin du Rock et c'est tant mieux. Mais même s'ils ne l'avaient pas retrouvé, pourquoi deversé ainsi sa bile pour se faire plaisir?

28 ans déjà que les Scorps avec les Mama's Boys ont inauguré le POPB et j'en étais.

Je n'y étais pas, mais ça n'était pas par manque d'envie.

Matthias Jabs vient de déclarer que le groupe ne se séparait plus. scratch tongue mrgreen Déjà, ils ont été conviés à se produire à la cérémonie d'ouverture de la prochaine Coupe du Monde au Brésil en 2014. En tout cas, le groupe travaille sur la réalisation d'une anthologie, en somme, on s'en branle. Des nouveaux titres ont aussi émergé. En revanche, le groupe semble vouloir également se concentrer sur la réalisation d'un film.

Scorpions guitarist Matthias Jabs has confirmed the band have given up on their plan to split – although they probably won’t keep going the way they have in the past.

He says they’ve been invited to play at the opening ceremony of football’s 2014 World Cup competition in Brazil.

And he adds their next studio project is likely to include completed versions of songs they didn’t finish in the 1980s and 1990s.

The German outfit announced their intention to break up after one last work tour in 2009. But as more and more dates were added they admitted they were reconsidering the decision.

Now Jabs says that, like Judas Priest, they’re planning to keep going as a band, but won’t be touring the world any more.

He tells AZCentral.com: “The Scorpions will not break up. We’re giving up the constant touring – into the studio, out of the studio, back on the road.

“There’s a routine of making an album and touring the world for two and a half years. We said, ‘Can we go in the studio in 2013, Klaus will be 65, and then do another world tour?’ It might get shaky.

“We have a project which we will probably release next year. We have so much film material. We will work on something like an anthology, some kind of box set.”

Earlier this year the Scorpions recorded some new tracks for the project. Jabs says the work consisted of “resurrecting unfinished songs from what some people say was our best time – leftovers from Blackout, Love at First Sting, Crazy World and Savage Amusement.

“There’s so much strong material. The vibe is great because it’s from the time when we were starting out.

“Back then, when I found a new riff I would get excited. It’s slightly different today because I know it all, I’ve heard it all. It’s much harder to get excited about the simplest or sometimes half-genius riff. But there was a definite spark in those old recordings. The idea is to redo them with today’s technology and take it further.”

While the band have nothing scheduled beyond tour’s end on December 15 in Germany, Jabs says: “Nobody has said we’ll never hit the stage again. We were approached to play for the opening of the World Cup in 2014. That is not confirmed – but those opportunities, we would not let slip away.”

Selon Matthias Jabs, un album composé de vieux titres inédits réenregistrés devrait sortir l'année prochaine. Le groupe a en effet passé les trois premiers mois de cette année en compagnie des producteurs Mikael Andersson et Martin Hansen, à travailler une douzaine de morceaux issus des sessions Blackout et Love At First Sting :

"Nous allons nous remettre au travail, enregistrer entre 16 et 18 titres et choisir les douze meilleurs. Ces morceaux sont vraiment bons ! L'idée est venue des fans. Ils n'avaient de cesse de nous répéter que le groupe devait avoir du matériel inédit en réserve, et ils avaient raison. Nous modifions des titres existants, mais la plupart des morceaux n'avaient pas de paroles écrites, juste des "bla bla bla" de travail. Donc les paroles doivent être reécrites pour la majorité de ces morceaux.

Nous travaillons sur ce projet comme s'il s'agissait d'un nouvel album studio. Nous essayons de conserver les idées de bases, les riffs, les ambiances et l'état d'esprit de ces morceaux tout en les modernisant."

En voyant ça sur Arte,je me vois pas débourser 78,50 € ou 67,50 € pour voir une date en novembre.
Et je crois qu'avec cette performance,ils ont perdu beaucoup de clients potentiels.

SCORPIONS annulent leur retraite annoncée depuis trois ans et travaillent sur un album basé sur des ébauches de morceaux écrites dans les années 80. Ils devraient ensuite travailler sur de nouvelles compos.

Pas de Download Festival cet été pour les Scorps pour deux raisons :

-La première raison invoquée concerne le headlining. En effet, ayant été sollicités pour jouer le 14 juin alors que Slipknot assurait la tête d'affiche, les Allemands ont refusé de jouer sur la Second Stage.

-La deuxième raison concerne manifestement le cachet qu'ils jugent insuffisant.

A part cela, le groupe s'attèle à confectionner un film live.

The Scorpions rejected an offer to play the Download festival this summer.

Talking to Classic Rock, guitarist Rudolf Schenker explained the band’s decision as being down to two reasons.

“We were asked to play on the first day (June 14), when Slipknot will headline. The problem was that we would have been on the second stage, not the main one. This would have meant us not having the chance to bring over a full stage set, and that isn’t something we were prepared to consider. We’d be cheating the fans, and feel we are worth a bit more than being anywhere other the main stage.

“There was also a financial problem, because what we would have been paid wasn’t very good at all. So we reluctantly turned it down.”

The band recently finished their final world tour. It lasted three years, but didn’t include a single UK show. And nobody it appears is more disappointed than the band.

“We desperately wanted to come over. We love playing in Britain. But again it was a money consideration. Everywhere we go, our fee is really excellent, and that allows us to give a full value show. But in the UK, we get very low offers, the sort we can’t really accept. That’s why we’ve not played there.”

However, there’s the possibility we will get to see the Scorps, who won the Metal Guru Award at the 2011 Classic Rock Roll Of Honour, next year.

“We hope to play a festival in 2014. We have just finished what will certainly be our last tour, but we have never said there won’t be live shows in the future. So, if the opportunity is there we will come over.”

Schenker also confirmed that while 2010’s Sting In The Tail will definitely be their farewell studio album, there will be future releases from the band.

“We are working on a live movie, and we’ve also had a fantastic offer from our record label. I can’t say what this is right now, but if it comes off it will be unique. We have never said we are splitting up, so there’s plenty to come.”
