Le son de ce concert allemand que je suis en train de réécouter, est excellent. Et puis, il y a cette frappe de Paice beaucoup plus lourde que d'habitude qui fait de ce concert un moment de puissance conjugué avec une virtuosité de tous les instants surtout de la part de cette formation. Même dans le conflit, elle parvenait à nous sortir des prestations de "ouf" comme disent les jeunes d'aujourd'hui. L'osmose absolue, c'était CETTE formation.

Publiée par un mec sur Facebook voici, la maquette du Starship, avion qui avait initialement appartenu à Peter Grant, manager de Led Zeppelin. Deep Purple l'a repris ensuite pour les tournées Burn et Stormbringer :

Deep Purple célèbrera son album phare de 1972, Machine Head , avec une réédition « super deluxe » contenant des séquences live inédites, de multiples mixages et un son remasterisé.
Machine Head : Super Deluxe Edition arrive le 29 mars sous la forme d'un ensemble audio de trois CD/LP/Blu-ray. Il est disponible en précommande dès maintenant. Vous pouvez voir la liste complète des morceaux et écouter une version stéréo de « Smoke on the Water » récemment remixée par Dweezil Zappa ci-dessous.
Zappa a remixé l'intégralité de Machine Head en stéréo et Dolby Atmos pour l' édition Super Deluxe . "C'est un de ces disques où je me demande : 'Comment ont-ils trouvé ça ?' Il y a des influences classiques à la guitare et au clavier, mais aussi du blues et des petits éléments funky", dit-il dans les notes de la pochette. "Et vous avez ce chanteur qui a la voix la plus meurtrière. Toutes ces choses sont réunies d'une manière qui ne ressemble pas à de la musique commerciale, et pourtant les gens étaient vraiment enthousiasmés. C'est une recette fascinante."

Since their debut in 1968, rock giants Deep Purple have overcome numerous crises to remain at the top of the HM/HR scene and have influenced numerous bands. After disbanding in 1976, Deep Purple reunited with their second lineup after an eight-year gap, which is considered to be the band's golden period. The first reunion album, "Perfect Strangers," was released in November 1984 and became a worldwide hit, reaching No. 17 on the U.S. album chart and earning a gold disc, and once again made the band's greatness known on the music scene. However, Ian Gillan left the band in May 1989, and Joe Lynn Turner, formerly of Rainbow, joined the band.Since it was the band's 25th anniversary, Ian Gillan returned in November 1992 and released the album "The Battle Rages On...", followed by a world tour. and a world tour. During this tour, the concert in Milan, Italy on September 26, 1993 was recorded and broadcasted for a radio program. This album is a live album recorded during the broadcast, and includes the encore and the complete concert. The band and Ritchie Blackmore had been at odds since this concert, and Ritchie later left the band, so this album contains the live performance when the band was still stable. This album contains more songs than the later official release, and has been highly anticipated by fans. D'après ce qui est mentionné concernant ce concert milanais de 1993 doté d'un excellent son, il est complet avec un Smoke qui l'est donc aussi, ce qui n'était pas le cas sur la plupart des bootlegs.

On the 17th. March, 1974, Deep Purple played a show at the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, Long Island.
Tucky Buzzard opened the show, followed by Savoy Brown and Deep Purple. The audience were treated to a special little jam, with Carmine Appice and Tim Bogert from Beck, Bogert and Appice. I can't remember what they played.
In the photo, Jon Lord, Ian Paice, Tim, Carmine playing Tucky Buzzard's kit, Ritchie Blackmore, Glenn Hughes and David Coverdale partially hidden.
Another great tour from some of the best touring years!

Le 17 mars 1974, Deep Purple a donné un concert au Nassau Coliseum à Uniondale, Long Island. Tucky Buzzard a ouvert le show. Ont suivi Savoy Brown et Deep Purple. Le public a été invité à assister à une jam spéciale mais je ne me souviens pas ce qu'ils ont joué. They played the encore Goin Down with Carmine Appice and Tim Bogert and a drum battle. I got a boot tape at the end of the 70s.

Selon Bernt Kupper, ils ont joué au rappel Goin' Down avec Carmine Appice et Tim Bogert et il y aurait une drum battle entre Ian Paice et Carmine Appice. Il est en possession d'une cassette pirate obtenue à la fin des 70's.
