On se doutait bien qu'il y aurait des tentations de creuser le filon de la collaboration, vu le succès remporté par cette version à couper le souffle de "Stairway To Heaven" aux récents Kennedy Center Awards. C'est maintenant chose faite avec cette affiche double et la participation de Jason qui rejoindra Heart sur toutes les fins de show.

Et toujours pas de dates en France.

Jason aimerait rendre à son père un hommage en le faisant apparaître durant ses concerts grâce à un hologramme.

Jason Bonham, whose Led Zeppelin Experience pays tribute to his late father’s legendary band, is currently touring North America with Heart (with whom Bonham and his band join forces to play a set of Zeppelin classics every night). However, the heir to John Bonham’s drum throne is looking ahead to a time when he might join his father on the road. If, that is, he can work out a few technological kinks.

Yes, Jason Bonham wants to bring John back to life as a hologram.

“It’s imperative that I continue putting together the best shows and take it to the next level,” Bonham said. “I’m talking to people about holograms and my dream is to do the hologram drum solo with dad next to me.”

But according to Bonham the Younger, collecting sufficient footage might prove to be difficult.

“These guys were operating in the 1970s and it’s not at all like it is today where everybody can record everything with a phone or digital camera,” Bonham explained. “Back in those days if you had a camera that could record video you were well off and to be able to be proficient enough to edit or work with it or process it and release it was a whole other matter. It wasn’t as instant of a thing as it is now. I am trying to work with the limited footage I have, to put it together in a way that works and is purposeful.”

Les 3 membres restants ont demandé au "gamin" de changer le nom de son groupe "Led Zeppelin Experience" en "Led Zeppelin Evening". ’ I don’t know what they have planned, but I said, ‘Okay, I will clear the way so they can do what they wish.’” ("Je ne sais pas ce qu'ils ont prévu", mais j'ai dit "D'accord, je vais régler ça et donc ils pourront faire ce qu'ils souhaitent.")

Dans une émission sur SiriusXM d’Howard Stern, Jason Bonham a raconté sa première expérience avec la drogue alors qu’il accompagnait Led Zeppelin en tournée.

« Jimmy a été le premier à me donner de la cocaïne » explique-t-il. « Il a fait venir plusieurs personnes dans sa chambre, où une femme miaulait sur le sol avec un collier au cou. Il m’a donné de la drogue en me demandant si j’en avais déjà consommé auparavant. J’ai répondu : 'Évidemment que oui'. »

« J’ai tout pris ! » poursuit le batteur. « Jimmy m’a regardé : 'Tout le portrait de ton père… C’était supposé être pour tout le monde'. »

Le musicien a rapidement compris que la comparaison avec son père n’était pas forcément positive.

« Je pensais que c’était un genre de compliment, mais je me trompais » ajoute-t-il. « Lorsque j’étais saoul, il faisait à nouveau le rapprochement. »

Au cours de l’interview, Jason Bonham a également mentionné une soirée où Jimmy Page était furieux d’apprendre que le batteur avait de la cocaïne.

« Il a découvert que j’avais de la drogue pendant un concert. Il a raccourci son solo pour me voir en backstage. Il était vraiment furieux parce que je ne lui en avais pas proposé. »
