Led Zeppelin pressenti pour être nominé au tout nouveau Music Walk Of Fame :

Led Zeppelin are among the acts being considered for London’s new Music Walk Of Fame.

The BBC reports Camden Town is to be officially twinned with Hollywood to create its very own Music Walk of Fame.

Those honoured will be divided into five groups: innovative artists, influential artists, icons, unsung heroes and industry types like managers and producers.

A committee of global industry figures and local community members are working on shortlist of nominations for the first 30 plaques, which will be laid down this summer.

The list will go to a decisive public vote on the Music Walk of Fame website in May.

"We hope this will be the highest accolade in music," said music promoter Lee Bennett. "This is an international brand not specific to Camden, but it is in Camden as we truly see it as the world's rock and roll capital."

Other artists under consideration include The Who, Elvis Presley and Blur.

Une source complète du concert de Lyon du 26 Mars 1973 est ENFIN disponible depuis hier sur Dime quasiment 40 ans après jour pour jour !
La panne de courant en plein Stairway To Heaven n'était pas une légende.
Moi je dis sabotage : elle intervient juste au moment de la mise en tension du solo d'anthologie de Jimmy ou presque. Oh bon sang, quel anti-climax total ! La source sonore est vraiment étouffée et lointaine mais le concert est complet, apparemment.
Bon maintenant que ceci est sorti, où sont les bandes de la radio française qui a enregistré ce show ???

La qualité" du son varie pas mal apparemment. Il y a des moments où ça devient fort écoutable, et là on se rend compte que Jimmy est à son meilleur niveau guitaristique, cf ICQYB

Rien d'étonnant à cela finalement au vu de la qualité de jeu déployée lors des shows teutons de Mars 1973 qui précèdent.

L'ex-président Clinton a demandé au groupe de bien vouloir se reformer pour un concert de charité. Malgré son insistance, il n'a pu obtenir une réponse positive de la part des trois compères.
L'ex-personne la plus puissante au monde a rencontré le groupe lors de la cérémonie des Kennedy Center Honors en décembre dernier.

Après la cérémonie, Clinton a demandé au groupe s'ils pouvaient se reformer pour un concert de charité en aide aux victimes de l'ouragan Sandy.
Par ailleurs, lors d'un show télé, David Saltzman de la Robin Hood Foundation a récemment déclaré qu'un producteur hollywoodien et lui avaient pour intention d'organiser un concert du groupe.

Led Zeppelin were asked to reunite for a charity show by ex US president Bill Clinton – but even he couldn’t get them to agree.

The former “most powerful man in the world” met the band while at their Kennedy Center Honors celebration at the White House in December.

During the event current president Barack Obama praised Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones for “making us all feel young” with the release of live DVD Celebration Day, recorded in 2007.

Clinton later asked them if they’d reunite to play in support of the victims of superstorm Sandy, which caused more than $75bn of damage and claimed the lives of nearly 300 people in October 2012.

David Saltzman of the Robin Hood Foundation recently told US TV show 60 Minutes that he and Hollywood producer hatched a plan to bring about a Led Zep performance.

Saltzman said: “Harvey had this great idea that we could enlist Bill Clinton to convince Led Zeppelin to reunite.

“The president was terrific: ‘I really wanna do this, this will be a fantastic thing, I love Led Zeppelin.’

“Bill Clinton himself asked Led Zeppelin to reunite – and they wouldn’t do it.”

Empress Valley are set to release Led Zeppelin – The King’s of the Stone Age. This is a complete soundboard recording from February 13th, 1975 at Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York. This is the famous gig where the band is joined by Ron Wood from The Rolling Stones on the encore for Communication Breakdown. Jimmy and Ronnie trade licks and will be exciting to finally hear this from a clear soundboard tape.
