Le 30 juillet prochain, ressortiront en vinyle Technical Ecstasy, Never Say Die et la compile We Sold Our Souls for Rock n Roll.

Dans le Rock Hard de ce mois-ci sur certains passages de Philippe Lageat, 13 en prend plein la gueule . Voici quelques morceaux de choix : : "Est-il à la hauteur de 34 ans d'attente ? Clairement non."
Un peu plus loin, on peut lire : "Autre point noir, certains titres sont tout juste passables, inutilement répétitifs et lourds comme de mauvais cassoulets (Loner, Live Forever)."

Le groupe vient d'annuler le concert de Lima au Pérou prévu pour le 16 octobre prochain. Aucune raison concernant cette annulation n'a été invoquée.


Black Sabbath have cancelled an October 16 concert planned for Lima, Peru as part of a Latin American tour in support of their new album, “13”.

Peru This Week reports show promoter JF Show Espectaculos announced the news. In a press statement released by the promotion company, it clarified that the band’s Latin American tour will proceed as announced and that only the Peru show was taken off the schedule.

The company also reported that all those who have purchased their tickets can receive full refunds as of August 9 through Punto Ticket.

Neither the promotion company nor the band has explained the reason for the cancellation of the concert, which was to also feature Megadeth.

Black Sabbath start their Latin American tour in Santiago, Chile on October 4; they are currently on the road playing dates across North America.

Tony Iommi aimerait enregistrer une suite à 13 mais il sait que l'avenir du groupe est dépendant de sa santé. Tony continue d'être surveillé et de fait, cela lui impose certaines limites à ne pas franchir. Il lui a été demandé s'il y avait d'autres titres dans sa besace. Iommi répond que c'est une question qui lui a été posée à maintes reprises. "Je n'ai pas de réponse Tout simplement à cause de mon traitement et donc, je ne peux m'engager sur les deux prochaines années. Je dois faire en fonction du temps présent". A ceci, il ajoute : "J'en ai vraiment envie. Si tout se passe bien, nous étudierons la question et nous verrons s'il est possible de faire un autre album. Ce serait drôlement bien. Il est difficile de maitriser ce sentiment de hâte d'entrer en scène surtout quand c'est avec vos "vieux partenaires. Vous savez, c'est même meilleur qu'il y a 40 ans "(Note de Phil : "Même Ozzy ?"What a Face). Par ailleurs, Tony affirme qu'il aimerait jouer 13 dans son intégralité.

Tony Iommi would love to record a follow-up to Black Sabbath’s latest album 13 – but he knows the future of the band is dependent on his health.

The cancer victim continues to receive medical attention for his illness, and that’s put a limit on how much he can achieve.

Asked whether there’s more music to come from Sabbath, Iommi tells CT.com: “It’s a question that’s been asked a few times. I don’t really have an answer. Because of my treatments and stuff I can’t commit to doing another two years or anything like that. I have to play it as it comes now.”

But he adds: “I’m really enjoying it. If the rest of the year goes well, then we’ll look at it and see if it’s possible to do another album. It would be very nice to.

“You can’t beat that feeling of walking onstage, especially with your old mates, you know. I think it’s better than it was 40 years ago.”

Frontman Ozzy Osbourne recently admitted he’d “die a happy man” if 13 proved to be Sabbath’s swan song, but also stated the band’s future was down to Iommi and his health.

Meanwhile, the guitarist says the band could play the new album live in full at some point in the future.

He reflects: “I think the songs fit in great with the old stuff, and it’s also great to have new songs to fit in, because we haven’t had any for so many years.

“As far as the whole album – we haven’t tried that yet, but I’d be up for doing the whole thing.

“That’s how we recorded it, so that’s how we can play it. It’s an album that’s not impossible to do; we didn’t go into the studio and put loads of stuff on. Is is live, so we could go on and play any of those songs.”

Message From Tony!

Well we've finished the US leg of our world tour. It was a bit longer than I would have liked as I've already been in hospital having another infusion. The tour was amazing though, you always hope it's going to go well but you never know, it's great to look out and see so many people of all ages. The new songs have been going down well, we've played them enough now so we're comfortable and that helps the performance. Many thanks to everyone who came to see us, South America next, and just like Australia this is a first time for Ozzy, Geezer and me together. All the best!

Bon, nous avons fini la partie nord américaine de notre tournée mondiale. C'était un peu plus long que prévu alors que je m'etais déjà trouvé sous perfusion à l'hôpital. Ceci dit, la tournée fut excellente et j'espère que ça va continuer. C'est génial de voir des gens de tous les âges. Les nouveaux titres fonctionnent à merveille, nous les avons joués suffisamment et donc maintenant, nous sommes vraiment à l'aise, ce qui contribue à donner de meilleurs concerts.

De retour d’une tournée nord-américaine, avant de partir pour l’Amérique Latine le mois prochain, puis l’Europe en novembre et décembre, BLACK SABBATH prévoit déjà la sortie d’un nouveau DVD live dépeignant le récent retour sur scène de Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler et Ozzy Osbourne.
Pour l’instant, il n’y a qu’un teaser vidéo qui laisse deviner que ce live devrait avoir pour nom Gathered In Their Masses.
